Public Notice: Upper Allen Township Pollutant Reduction Plan (PRP)
PUBLIC NOTICE – Upper Allen Township has created a Pollutant Reduction Plan (PRP) to meet the requirements of its Municipal Separate Storm Sewer (MS4) permit with the Department of Environmental Protection (DEP). The Township includes estimates of the existing pollutants that are discharged to streams within the Township and the associated reductions that are required by DEP. The plan also identifies proposed stormwater improvements needed to meet these pollutant reduction requirements, possible funding sources, and ongoing operation and maintenance responsibilities for the proposed stormwater improvements.
A public review period of the draft PRP will begin on July 24, 2017 and will continue for 30 days until August 23, 2017. The draft will also be available for public inspection at the Township office located at 100 Gettysburg Pike, Mechanicsburg, Mondays through Fridays between the hours of 8:00 am and 4:30 pm. During this period, comments will be accepted in writing or by email to the attention of Megan McNamee, email@example.com. Comments will also be accepted verbally at the Public Hearing to be held on Wednesday, August 16, 2017 at 6:00 p.m. before the regularly scheduled Board of Commissioner’s Meeting.
