Under State Act 101 of 1988, and the Upper Allen Township Codified Ordinances Chapter 210, commercial establishments are required to recycle the following:

Aluminum And Steel Cans
High-grade Office Paper And Corrugated Paper
Glass
Plastic Bottles
Newspaper
Leaf Waste

All commercial, industrial, and institutional establishments are required, under State and Township regulations, to establish a collection system for recycled materials.

All haulers and recyclers operating in the Township are required to provide a quarterly recycling report to the Cumberland County Recycling and Waste Authority on a form provided by the County.
